Maybelline Vox Box

I received the Maybelline Vox box from Influenster, at no cost to me, in exchange for my honest review. I'm talking the better skin challenge for 3 weeks! It's been 3 days, so far so good! I'm loving the foundation!

Homemade Laundry Detergent

This past week I made laundry detergent. It was super easy to do, and my clothes smell amazing!

Here's the recipe!

1 cup ivory soap graded

1/2 cup of borax

1/4 cup baking soda

Detergent beads (it really doesn't matter how many)

Combine ingredients. Stir with a slotted spoon.

1 tbsp for normal loads

2 tbsps for extra soiled loads

Smiley 360 Randoms Mission

Another program I like is Smiley 360. You take surveys to be accepted into different missions to try different products! 

I was given the opportunity to try Wonka Random Gummies at know cost to me, as long as I give an honest review. They honestly were pretty good. My kiddos really enjoyed this mission:)

Pinch Me Box

I received my Pinch Me box today. I'm really excited to try the samples. I love getting free samples! Pinchme.com is one of my favorite sample websites!

In the Kitchen

Today I made pancake mix! My kids love pancakes! I was so excited to find this very simple recipe! Thank you Pinterest! Here's a link to the recipe! http://www.spendwithpennies.com/homemade-pancake-mix/

I made these bacon wrapped, cheesy potatoes for my husband tonight! They were a hit! Honestly there's really not a recipe. I watched a video of someone making them.

Make sure your potatoes are tender and mash them. 

Spoon out some potatoes.

Form a sort of pocket and put a cheese cube in the middle

Roll into a ball.

Place a piece of uncooked bacon around "Potato ball" and secure with a with a toothpick.

When your oil is hot, place bacon wrapped potato ball in skillet/frying pan. Fry in oil about 5-10 minutes and you have Bacon Wrapped Cheesy Potatoes! 

All I can say is Yum!;)

Crazy Texas Weather

We had quite a few snow days this week! The beauty of homeschool is we really didn't have to take any time off! Recess was spent outside:)

Our Ant Farm

We have purchased an ant farm! My kiddos are so excited! It's amazing the ant are such hard workers!

It's so neat to watch the progression. I highly recommend buying an ant farm for your children.

The Light Bulb will come on:)

As a homeschool mom, many times I feel that my child will never get a certain concept. With one of my children, I felt she would never learn to read. Though,with much prayer and teaching, she has finally got it! What a happy day it was in our household when it finally "clicked"

I want to be an encouragement to you ,homeschool mom, and say the "light bulb" will come on! Just give it time!

Influenster Vox Box

As a homeschool stay at home mom, I love looking for freebies and samples. About a year ago, I signed up with influenster! I am given the opportunity to test different products! This Frosty Vox Box was the best one yet! The Rimmel eye makeup remover is great! I love the Eco tools brush! The Rimmel eye liner is perfect! The NYC sugar plum lipstick is awesome! The candy cane tea was yummy. I love the thyme! It adds great flavor to soups! The Fruit Vines were yummy:) a great box!
